Chinese CSCEC keen to invest in transport projects in Kazakhstan

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 26. China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) is interested in investing in transport projects in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.

This topic was discussed during the meeting of the Vice Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Satzhan Ablaliyev with representatives of CSCEC.

In turn, Ablaliyev introduced potential investors to a wide range of promising projects in the road sector.

In addition, the vice minister spoke about the possibilities of participating in an open competition for the implementation of turnkey road projects (design, construction, and operation) with the mandatory involvement of Kazakh design, construction, and service companies.

Moreover, Ablaliyev briefly introduced representatives of CSCEC to plans for the implementation of projects for the reconstruction and expansion of airports in Kazakhstan.

To date, 13 international transport corridors have been formed and are in operation in Kazakhstan, including 5 railways and 8 roads.

Furthermore, about $30 billion has been invested in the transport and logistics infrastructure of Kazakhstan over the past 10 years.

Moreover, in the next five years, at least 40 billion euros will be needed to implement major infrastructure projects in the field of transportation in Kazakhstan.
