TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 27. Uzbekistan's volume of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries reached $5 billion in the first quarter of 2024, Trend reports.
According to data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, the country's foreign trade transactions with CIS nations climbed by 6.3 percent during the first quarter of 2023.
From January to March 2024, exports totaled $1.7 billion, while imports were $3.3 billion.
Uzbekistan's highest international commercial turnover among CIS countries was with Russia (54.9 percent), Kazakhstan (18.4 percent), and Turkmenistan (4.6 percent).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's share of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries increased by 0.2 percent from January through February 2024 (to 32.9 percent) year-on-year.
The country's volume of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries reached $3.2 billion from January through February 2024. Exports amounted to $1 billion, while imports were $2.1 billion during this period.
