BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. We have performed the program better than in training, and as a member of the women's group, a gold medalist of the 29th Azerbaijan Championship and Baku Championship in Acrobatic Gymnastics among pre-juniors, Sofiya Babayeva told reporters, Trend reports.
The women's group, along with her, included Diana Mammadova and Firuza Gasimzade.
“We were first concerned, but we were able to regulate our emotions and achieve a positive outcome. We are pleased that we met our objective. We are training hard this season because we have international contests coming up. We hope that this victory is the beginning of our success in the current season,” Babayeva added.
Competitions for the 29th Azerbaijan Championship and Baku Championship in Acrobatic Gymnastics have been held at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex in Baku on April 25–26.
The participants of the competitions were athletes from the Specialized Children's and Youth Olympic Reserve School of Gymnastics, Ojaq Sports Club, Neftchi Sports Club, and Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 13.
