Türkiye calculates chemical exports to Iran for 1Q2024

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Türkiye increased its exports of chemical products to Iran by 9.6 percent from January through March 2024, bringing them to $140 million compared to the same period last year, the statement of the Turkish Ministry of Trade said, Trend reports.

“In March 2024, exports of Turkish chemical products to Iran decreased by 8.3 percent compared to the same month of 2023 and amounted to $39 million," the statement reads.

To note, Türkiye increased its chemical exports abroad by 7.7 percent year-on-year to $8 billion from January through March 2024.

The nation's chemical exports to world markets in March 2024 increased 5.7 percent compared to the same month in 2023, reaching $3 billion.

Türkiye exported $31.1 billion worth of chemical products abroad in the last 12 months (from March 2023 through March 2024).
