DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, April 26. President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and Pope Francis discussed strengthening cooperation in the Vatican, Trend reports.
The Tajik president's press service underscored Tajikistan's
dedication to tolerance and cohabitation among all religions, as
well as its historical contributions to global culture through
scientific and literary progress. The meeting also included
excellent discussions about other vital topics.
Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, began his first official
visit to Italy and the Vatican on April 22. During his tour, he met
with Giorgia Meloni, Italy's Prime Minister, and Sergio Mattarella,
the President of Italy. These high-level meetings resulted in the
signing of seven new accords.
As part of Rahmon's official visit to Italy, an investment forum between Tajikistan and Italy took place in Rome on April 24. The forum resulted in the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements totaling over $160 million. Over 100 companies from both Tajikistan and Italy participated in the event.
