ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, January 28. Transportation and energy sectors are strategic directions for mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and India, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for Trade, the Textile Complex, and the Private Sector Nokerguly Atagulyyev said, Trend reports.
He spoke at a reception in Ashgabat to mark India's Republic Day.
He highlighted that уnergy, industry, transport, and high technologies are priority areas of Turkmen-Indian cooperation. Nokerguly Atagulyyev also noted the participation of both Turkmenistan and India in major international projects, such as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the Central Asia-Middle East and North-South transport corridors.
The Deputy Prime Minister also pointed out the promising prospects for collaboration in the fields of education and healthcare.
The Ambassador of India to Ashgabat Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat noted the potential for new areas of cooperation, including pharmaceuticals, information technologies, and artificial intelligence.
