BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 29. TotalEnergies has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) for another four years, Trend reports.

The deal, signed by TotalEnergies Chairman and CEO Patrick Pouyanné and CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, extends the partnership through 2028.

As part of the agreement, TotalEnergies will sponsor 12 major CAF tournaments, including the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 and the 2027 edition, hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. The company will also become a partner of the CAF African Schools Football Championship, supporting youth football development across the continent.

Pouyanné emphasized TotalEnergies’ pride in promoting African football, calling it a sport that fosters unity and passion. Motsepe welcomed the renewed collaboration, highlighting its role in enhancing African football’s global competitiveness and supporting grassroots initiatives.

With this extension, TotalEnergies continues to play a key role in the development of African football, strengthening its ties with the sport’s millions of fans across the continent.
