BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 29. A roadmap to strengthen cooperation between Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan will be developed, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Trend reports.
In his speech at the 2nd trilateral meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs, economy, trade, and transport from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, Fidan emphasized that special attention is being given to the development of trade cooperation among Turkic-speaking countries.
He pointed out that special attention is being given to the development of trade cooperation between the countries of the Turkic world.
"Conflicts in the region have shaken the main pillars of the global system. All these challenges show that trade between Asia and Europe through the Middle Corridor is the safest and most cost-effective route, covering Central Asia, the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus, and Türkiye," he added.
Fidan emphasized that the energy crisis caused by sanctions has increased the geostrategic significance of Central Asia and the Caucasus, placing Turkey at the forefront as an energy hub.
To note, today Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Uzbek ministers of trade, transportation, and foreign affairs met in Ankara, Türkiye. The meeting's agenda covers foreign policy and regional cooperation, boosting trade, economy, and investment partnerships, enhancing regional transportation networks, and fortifying collaboration in transport and communication sectors.
