BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 29. Violations in the process of voting at the municipal election have not been recorded, Chairperson of polling station No. 20 of Yasamal second electoral district No.16 Munavvar Yusubova told Trend.

She noted that all conditions for voting have been created at the polling station.

”1,363 people are registered at the polling station. As of now, 160 people have voted. Violations in the process of voting at the municipal election have not been recorded,” Yusubova said.

A whopping 1,020,231 voters had exercised their right to vote in the municipal election as of 12:00 noon. The voter turnout amounted to 17.11 percent.

Azerbaijan is holding municipal election today.

Polling stations opened at 8:00.

A total of 8,071 members will be elected in the municipal election in 685 municipalities across 118 constituencies. The names of 16,092 candidates are on the ballot papers. The names of 5.9 million eligible voters are included in the list. A whopping 70,625 observers have been accredited by the CEC and district election commissions for the municipal election. Web cameras have been installed at 1,000 polling stations.

Voting will last until 19:00.
