Another group of Azerbaijani peacekeepers left for Afghanistan, the Azerbaijani defense ministry said Oct. 8.
A seeing-off ceremony was held in one of military units in Baku. Around 23 people will serve in the International Security Assistance Force (İSAF).
The participants of the event wished success to the militants.
The Azerbaijani Armed Forces' peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan began on November 20, 2002. Around 90 servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, two military physicians and two engineers are involved in the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.
