Uzbekistan shares revenues volume for 1Q2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 27. Uzbekistan's total volume of revenues amounted to 184 trillion soums ($14.5 billion) from January through March 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, this figure has increased by 30.5 percent compared to the same period in 2023 (141 trillion soums, or $11.1 billion in January-March 2023).

The revenues from terminals reached 73.6 trillion soums ($5.8 billion), while cash inflows amounted to 110.4 trillion soums ($8.7 billion) from January through March 2024.

Meanwhile, as per data from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Economy and Finance, the country's state budget deficit amounted to more than 19.8 trillion soums ($1.5 billion) from January through March 2024. This figure is 1.7 times higher year-on-year.

The deficit amounted to 5.8 trillion soums ($457.1 million) in January 2024, 7.2 trillion soums in February 2024, and 6.8 trillion soums ($567.4 million) in March this year.

Budget revenues grew by 6.8 percent and expenditures by 19.3 percent over the year.
