Iran's Ardabil Province discloses its freight volume

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. A total of 252,000 tons of cargo were transported from Iran's Ardabil province, located in the northwestern part of the country, to other provinces of Iran during the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through April 20, 2024), Director General of the Road and Transportation Department of Iran's Ardabil Province Kalimollah Vosughi said, Trend reports.

According to Vosughi, the first month saw the primary transportation of cement, gasoline, mineral water, potatoes, construction supplies, iron ingots, wheat, and diesel fuel from Ardabil Province. In the first month, 139,000 tons of goods were moved from the Ardabil area, 79,000 tons from the Namin district, and 8,000 tons from the Bilasuvar district.

The official reported that 8,000 tons of cargo were delivered from Ardabil's Meshginshahr region, 7,000 tons from Parsabad, 7,000 tons from Khalkhal, 3,000 tons from Germi, and 1,000 tons from Aslan Duz.

To note, 90 transportation companies, 2 freight terminals, and 13,550 trucks operate in Ardabil Province.
