ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 28. Kazakhstan's manufacturing sector has experienced its highest growth in ten years, the country's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, Trend reports.

"Last year, the manufacturing industry implemented 180 investment projects worth 1.3 trillion tenge (around $2.5 billion). As a result, the sector saw growth of almost six percent, the highest rate in the past decade. This positive trend must be consolidated and made irreversible," stressed Tokayev.

President Tokayev also emphasized Kazakhstan’s success in attracting investments into the economy, citing United Nations data.

"The activities of the Task Force have accelerated the implementation of specific projects by removing various bureaucratic barriers and legal conflicts. However, the main task is not just solving 'spot issues,' but to systematically improve the investment climate in the country."

The process of developing investment projects still takes considerable time due to interagency coordination. The government must work more efficiently and eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy. Long approval procedures and decision-making delays are often due to public servants' reluctance and fear of taking responsibility. This must be addressed directly," he concluded.
