Volume of exports from Iran's Parvizkhan customs terminal increases

The volume of products exported through the Parvizkhan customs terminal in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) increased by 113 percent during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through January 20, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of the Roads and Transportation Department of Kermanshah Province, Fariborz Karami said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.

Karami noted that about 32,900 tons of goods were exported to Iraq through the Parvizkhan customs terminal within 10 months.

The director general added that more than 340,000 tons of cargo was transported through the Parvizkhan customs terminal over the 10 months. This is an increase of 4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

"A total of 2,950 trucks passed through this customs terminal during the reporting period. This shows a twofold increase compared to the same period last Iranian year," he said.

Karami stressed that due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic, the number of Iranian citizens visiting Iraq has decreased by 80 percent. So, 12,500 people passed through the Parvizkhan customs point in 10 months. At the same time, the number of foreign citizens passing through this customs point decreased by 95 percent to 6,130 people.
