ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 27. The nominal volume of GDP of Kazakhstan amounted to 120 trillion tenge (about $264.2 billion) from January through December 2023, Trend reports.
As the country's Bureau of National Statistics notes, GDP growth compared to 2022 was 5.1 percent.
The greatest growth was shown by construction (13.3 percent), wholesale and retail trade; repair of cars and motorcycles (11.3 percent), information and communications (7.5 percent), transport and warehousing (7.1 percent), provision of accommodation and food services (5.4 percent), mining and quarrying (4.6 percent) industries.
At the same time, GDP per capita in 2023 amounted to $13,276.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's economic growth amounted to 5.1 percent in 2023. Last year, the volume of investments in fixed capital increased by 13.7 percent and amounted to $39.5 billion, while over the first nine months of 2023, $19.7 billion of foreign direct investment was attracted.
Furthermore, Kazakhstan's Ministry of National Economy expects GDP growth to be 5.3 percent in 2024 and 6 percent in 2025 and 2026.
