The Communication Administrations of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) will monitor prices on international roaming services rendered by communications operators in RCC countries, Russian Communication and Mass Communications Minister Nikolay Nikiforov told media today.
He stressed that each country is concerned about the tariffs for international roaming.
The question was discussed while preparing for the 47th session of the Council of Heads of Communication Administrations yesterday.
Although several intergovernmental agreements were signed, the communication operators, fixing these tariffs not directly regulated by the state, make less efforts, he said.
Operators must act more decisively and RCC communication administrations will contribute to this process.
"Our task is to create the conditions for the operators, to show them the benefits after taking such positive decisions, rather than restrict their work and not to affect these prices directly," he said.
