ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 11. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the international forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development,” the statement of the press service of the Iranian President said, Trend reports.
Pezeshkian was met at Ashgabat airport by Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and staff of the Iranian Embassy.
According to information, during the visit, the Iranian president will hold meetings with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the People's Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as Russian President Vladimir Putin, who also arrived in the capital of Turkmenistan to participate in the forum.
To note, the forum will bring together leaders of more than ten states, as well as representatives of international organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), the Turkic Council, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and UNESCO.
