BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. Azerbaijan is anticipated to experience a continued reduction in its water resources, as outlined in the “National Strategy for the Efficient Use of Water Resources,” approved by President Ilham Aliyev, Trend reports.
According to the strategy, water scarcity is expected to persist in the coming years. The World Resources Institute’s latest study ranks Azerbaijan 59th among 164 countries projected to face significant water scarcity by 2050, classifying it as a moderately high-risk country with 20-40 percent water scarcity.
