BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. The 14th Trans-Regional Seapower Symposium was held in Italy’s Venice, Trend reports via Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense.
The main agenda of the symposium is to promote countries' commitments to protecting the underwater environment and ensuring security in the underwater domain.
"A representative from the Military Attaché Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Italy attended the event at the invitation of Admiral Enrico Credendino, Chief of the Italian Navy.
Italy’s Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, extending his greetings to the attendees.
The Symposium was attended by commanders of naval forces from approximately 100 countries, along with representatives from around 400 maritime organizations," the ministry statement noted.
