There is great competition at the first European Games in Baku, Boris Yersen, the member of the Slovenian national basketball team, told Trend.
"The level of the teams is very high," he said. "Some 16 best teams of Europe are participating here. So, it will be hard for us to compete."
Yersen said that the first European Games have been organized at the highest level.
"I am delighted with the way of their organizing," he said. "Everything is at the highest level.
Moreover, you have a very beautiful city. I intend to go sightseeing after the competitions."
The European Games kicked off in Baku June 12 and will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
