A film "The Third" dedicated to national hero Naiq Yusifov was presented in the cinema of the Azerbaijani Union of Cinematographers on Saturday.
Naiq Yusifov showed great heroism in defending the heights in the Tovuz region from the Armenian armed forces, the initiator of creating the film, Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva said at the presentation. "Naiq Yusifov was wounded on the battlefield. But with his last ounce he blew himself up by killing enemies," MP said.
She said such films are created for the younger generation of Azerbaijan to know their heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland. "They must know that the Motherland, the land, the country, the people are above everything. A film about Naiq Yusifov demonstrates heroism of young people," MP said.
Speaking at the presentation Azerbaijan's Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova said the national heroes of Azerbaijan must not be only an example for youth, but also encourage them to liberate the occupied lands.
Pashayeva said the website will be prepared with the support of the Institute of Information Technologies by early February 2010. Broad information, photos and videos about all the national heroes of Azerbaijan will be available on it.
