BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 28. Chairman of the European Center of Azerbaijan in Munster (Germany) Zaur Aliyev has sent a statement of protest to the European Parliament (EP) against the adopted yet another biased resolution on Azerbaijan, Trend reports via the Azerbaijan's State Committee for Work with Diaspora.

According to the statement, the resolution adopted on October 24, 2024, by the European Parliament against Azerbaijan was considered a unilateral step, contrary to the norms of international law and far from objectivity.

"Meanwhile it was noted that the bias underlying this resolution is a matter of concern not only for Azerbaijan but also for all sovereign countries. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan's liberation of its lands from occupation is under the provisions of international law.

The statement noted that it is regrettable that the resolution ignores such facts as mine terror by Armenia, the destruction of the cultural and historical heritage of Azerbaijan during the Armenian occupation, as well as ignoring the fate of 4,000 Azerbaijanis missing in action during the conflict, and the fact that as a result of Armenian aggression, about one million Azerbaijanis found themselves in the position of refugees and internally displaced persons; their fundamental rights were violated.

This once again proves the one-sidedness and bias of this resolution,” the statement of the state committee reads.
