BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 28. Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has sent a congratulatory letter to his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze, Trend reports.
Asadov conveyed his congratulations to Kobakhidze on the victory of the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia Party in the country's parliamentary election, considering the victory as another confirmation of the support from the friendly Georgian people for the political course being pursued in the country.
In the letter, he expressed confidence that the election results will contribute to the progress and further prosperity of Georgia, as well as foster the comprehensive development of Azerbaijani-Georgian relations of strategic partnership based on centuries-old traditions of friendship and good neighborliness between the two peoples.
To note, Georgia's ruling Georgian Dream party won parliamentary election held on October 26, receiving more than 54 percent of the vote.
