BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 28. India fuels revanchism by providing weapon supplies to Armenia, Trend reports.
Armenia's "friends" are keeping the fires stoked with arms.
According to foreign media, Armenia, the US, and France have become the largest purchasers of Indian defense products in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
The media noted that sales over the past year amounted to $2.6 billion.
Additionally, the media emphasized that Armenia has signed several contracts with India over the past four years for the import of missiles, artillery systems, radars, armored vehicles, night vision devices, and a wide range of ammunition and artillery shells.
India, rather than putting its shoulder to the wheel for stability in the region and mending fences by arming Armenia and fanning the flames of revanchist tendencies, is clearly showing that it has no skin in the game when it comes to establishing peace in the area. However, India should keep in mind that the South Caucasus region is a melting pot of vital transport corridors that run through it. Keeping the ship steady and ensuring a calm sea in the region should be high on India's priority list.
When it comes to Armenia, its efforts to throw a wrench in the works of peace are as clear as day as it grapples with coming to terms with the new normal. Pulling the wool over the eyes of the international community by masquerading as a "peacekeeper" and throwing out "calls for peace," the country keeps its cards close to its chest, turning a blind eye to Azerbaijan's olive branch for peace. This suggests that Armenia's real motives are not directed toward peace.
