BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 28. The Azerbaijan-Iraq Business Council will support the initiatives of entrepreneurs, help establish direct ties between them, organize mutual trips, meetings, and various events, and promote information exchange between businessmen.
The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan told Trend in response to the request.
Meanwhile, it was noted that to develop cooperation between business circles of Azerbaijan and Iraq within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Iraq Business Forum held in Baku in September this year, a document on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Iraq Business Council was signed. According to the document signed between the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan and the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, entrepreneurs from both countries will be represented in the business council.
“The Business Council will support initiatives of entrepreneurs, help establish direct contacts between them, organize mutual visits, meetings, and various events, and exchange information between businessmen. At present, relevant work is underway to organize the work of the Business Council,” the report stresses.
Note that a business council was established between the two countries last month within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Iraq Business Forum in Baku. A relevant agreement was signed in this regard. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Development of Small and Medium Business under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, Orkhan Mammadov, and the President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, Abdulrazak Al-Zuhairi.
