An earthquake hit 18km west of Yardimly Region, south Azerbaijan, on 16 January 2007 at 01:07. No injuries were reported.
The Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan informed Trend that the tremors reached 4 on the Richter Scale. The tremors reached 4 in the Yardimly District, 3.5 in Lerik and 3 in Jalilabad.
