E.Huseynli / The idea that the Popular Front Party, Musavat, Democratic and Liberal Parties of Azerbaijan are the leading opposition in the country is the statement by these parties only, Rasul Guliyev, the ex-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament and chairman of the Open Society Party (OSP), said on 2 November.
According to Guliyev, OSP will never stand up for parties which destroy or attempt to damage democracy in the country.
"Why these parties consider themselves the leading parties of the country?," Guliyev said.
The members of the Azadlig bloc, Musavat and Democratic Party reached a common approach linked to reforms in the Election Code. The members propose to form election commission on parity basis.
OSP was founded by Rasul Guliyev, the ex-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, in April 2007.
