Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Ali-zade / Several candidates may aspire to the position of the chairman of the Azerbaijani opposition Adalat party. "Alternative candidates may participate in the meeting of the party," the chairman of Adalat, a member of the Azerbaijani permanent parliamentary commission on human rights Ilyas Ismayilov said to Trend on 15 November.
Meeting of the Adalat will take place in Baku Entertainment Centre on 24 November. Administration of the party will be re-formed and the chairman will be elected. Current chairman was the only candidat nominated to the position. After he won the parliamentary elections of 2005, Ismayilova left the position.
The meeting may reveal other candidates, Ilyasov said. He agreed to nominate for the position after insistence of the activists of the party.
