Georgian Parliament approves new ambassadors

Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 26 /corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia / Nine new ambassadors of Georgia were approved at the extra-ordinary meeting of the Parliament on Dec. 26. The post of the ambassador of Georgia to Turkey and Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina will be entrusted on Tariel Lebanidze, post of the permanent representative of Georgia to the International Maritime Organization - Gels Charkviani, Permanent representative to the United Nations - Kakha Lomaya, permanent representative to GUAM - Merab Antadze, ambassador to the USA, Canada and Mexico - Bat Kuteliya, ambassador to Great Britain and Ireland - Giorgi Badridze, ambassador to France, Portugal and Monaco, and also representative to UNESCO - Mamuk Kudava, ambassador to People's Republic of China - Karlo Sikharulidze and ambassador to Ukraine - Grigol Katamadze.

Parliamentary opposition protested against the new ambassadors.
