Three blasts shock Georgia's Zugdidi city

Three blasts occurred in the Zugdidi city bordering with Abkhazia in the night on June 10.

The first explosion took place at the central railway station in the town of Zugdidi at 23.30 and the other - at 24.00. The first explosion was very powerful and injured 59-year-old Shalva Okromchedlishvili, the driver of the train which was going to leave. He was taken to the hospital with several injuries and concussion. His life is not threatened with danger.

The second explosion occurred also in the station. Mina remote control was placed into the trash bin. No one was injured.

A third explosion occurred in the village of the mill, and there were not any victims and injured.

A citizen of Russian nationality was arrested and questioned as a witness. He said that after the explosion, two men approached and asked to show the way toward Abkhazia.

In Zugdidi, the police conducted raids and patrol in the city. Governor of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region and the head of JSC "Georgian Railway" Irakly Ezugbaya is at the scene of the incident. He said that the railroad underwent a minimal damage.
