The one-time benefit for the birth of a child should be increased to 75 manat in Azerbaijan, the MP, deputy chairman of ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), Ali Ahmadov, said during discussions on the budget of the State Social Protection Fund for 2010.

According to him, it is also necessary to make this assistance targeted. "There are families that need the money. Those who do not need it and do not come and take the money. It might be better to make the allowance targeted," said Ahmadov.
