The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has filed a lawsuit against the newspaper.
The ministry sued the Bizim Yol newspaper (Our Way) for the information titled ' Seven people killed in the crossfire among soldiers ' published June 18, the ministry reported.
This unfounded and slandered article wrote that allegedly another massacre took place in the Ministry's Military Unit No.N. in the Fizuli region and seven soldiers were killed as a result, the ministry reported.
This newspaper attempted to slander the Azerbaijani army and strike a blow at the honor of soldiers and officers guarding homeland, the ministry said.
Ministry's Spokesman Eldar Sabiroglu named the paper's article as sabotage.
