Baku police arrested a member of the armed group, wanted for attempted murder.
As a result of search activities undertaken by employees of the 2-nd Police Department, Abdul Aliyev was arrested under the articles 29, 120.1 (attempted premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code June 30.
According to the information, Aliyev was a member of an armed group of former senior operative of the Main Department of the Interior Ministry Haji Mammadov.
The Sabail District Court decided to arrest Aliyev accused of taking hostage of former speaker Rasul Guliyev's relative Ulvan Guliyev in September 2003.
