Representatives of the Azadlig opposition bloc that brings together the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), Citizens and Development Party and Liberal Party tried to hold unsanctioned rally on Saturday.
About 15-20 members of the opposition attempted to hold a rally near the metro station "Icheri Sheher". The law enforcement agencies' officers managed to stop the attempt.
Moreover, the law enforcement agencies' officers managed to prevent holding of unsanctioned rally by representatives of the opposition Musavat Party and the Union for Democracy in the Huseyn Javid Park.
Executive Power of Baku called the stadium in Sahil settlement of Garadagh district, the stadium in front of the trust "Azneftgeofizik" in Sabunchi district, the stadium named after Tofig Ismayilov in Surakhani district, the stadium of 3155 block in Yasamal district, settlement Turkan in Azizbayov district, the territory in front of the cinema "Tabriz" in Nizami district and in front of the metro station "Ulduz" in Narimanov district as sites to conduct public meetings.
