The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov today met with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu in Istanbul. The meeting was held in "tet-a-tet" format behind closed doors.
Mammadyarov paid a working visit to Turkey on Tuesday, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said. He will attend the Fourth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA IV).
Mammadyarov is expected to address the conference.
The conference, which is held under the chairmanship of Turkey and Afghanistan's foreign ministers Ahmet Davutoglu and Zalmay Rasul is underway in Istanbul Nov. 2-4. The conference is also attended by representatives of Pakistan, India and all international organizations involved in Afghanistan.
