Heads of number of countries congratulate Azerbaijani President on Republic Day

Heads of a number of world countries congratulate Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of national holiday - Republic Day.

"On behalf of the Government, people of the People's Republic of China and on my own, I convey to Your Excellency, the Government and the friendly people of Azerbaijan my sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Azerbaijan's national holiday - the Republic Day," congratulatory letter of President of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao reads.

Over the 20 years of independence under the leadership of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has made great strides in nation building, Hu Jintao noted.

"We are very pleased to observe public and political stability in Azerbaijan, the dynamic development of its economy, the prosperous life of your people and the constant improvement of the international status of your country. I am confident that under Your Excellency's leadership the people of Azerbaijan will constantly achieve new successes in the development of your country," the letter reads.

Azerbaijan is a sincere friend and partner of China. China attaches great importance to the development of relations with Azerbaijan, the Chinese president noted.

"Great progress has been made in Chinese-Azerbaijani relations in the 20 years of diplomatic relations between our countries. Both sides have maintained close ties at the highest level, continuously strengthened mutual understanding and confidence, gradually expanded business cooperation in all areas and stepped up humanitarian exchanges. Our countries have been fruitfully cooperating within the UN and other international organizations. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries I declare that the Chinese side is ready to strengthen political confidence with Azerbaijan, deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic and other areas and further promote Chinese-Azerbaijani relations of friendship and cooperation," the letter reads.

Hu Jintao wished good health and all the best to Ilham Aliyev, progress to the country, and happiness to Azerbaijani people.

"On the occasion of the Republic Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I have great pleasure in sending Your Excellency my heartfelt congratulations and sincere good wishes for Your happiness and for the prosperity of the people of Your country," the congratulatory letter of Emperor of Japan Akihito reads.

President of the Federal Republic of Germany Joachim Gauck on behalf of the people of his country and on his own has sincerely congratulated Azerbaijani President and all the people of Azerbaijan on the Republic Day.

"This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. This anniversary is an opportunity for a further expansion and deepening of our relations which are based on shared interests and mutual respect between our two countries. Germany will continue to support Azerbaijan in every way in its integration into Europe. In this regard, the internal development of the state, its integration into European values and norms are a major part of the dialogue between partners," the congratulatory letter reads.

Gauck wished Ilham Aliyev every success and peace, progress and prosperity to the people of Azerbaijan.

"On behalf of the people of Ukraine and on my own, I would like to sincerely congratulate you on the national holiday of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is confidently moving along the path of consolidating its statehood, successfully implementing systemic reforms in all spheres of public life and enhancing its credibility in the region and the world today. Ukraine appreciates your personal contribution to the development of friendship between our two countries and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation. I am convinced that the all-round cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan, particularly in key areas such as energy, aerospace industry, agriculture, etc. will continue to develop for the benefit of our peoples," the congratulatory letter of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych reads.

Viktor Yanukovych wished Ilham Aliyev good health and success in highly responsible public activities and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Azerbaijan.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko conveyed sincere congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday of Azerbaijan - the Republic Day.

"Today, the friendly people of Azerbaijan can be proud of the significant achievements in nation building, economic development, social sphere and the international arena. I am sure that your activities as head of state will continue to contribute to the prosperity of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Belarus appreciates the high level of cooperation between our countries. A further powerful impetus to the multi-dimensional strategic partnership between Belarus and Azerbaijan will be given by your official visit to the Republic of Belarus," the congratulatory letter of Alexander Lukashenko reads.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Ilham Aliyev good health, happiness and continued success, and peace, happiness and prosperity to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has also sent a congratulatory letter to the Azerbaijani President on the national holiday.

"Tajikistan attaches great importance to the consistent expansion of multi-faceted Tajik-Azerbaijani cooperation and calls for its further meaningful development. I am convinced that together we can give a positive impetus to the existing partnership and close cooperation between our two countries which serve the fundamental interests of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan. I do hope that our future meetings will give us the opportunity to take further joint steps in this direction," the congratulatory letter of the Tajik President reads.

Emomali Rahmon wished Ilham Aliyev good health, happiness and success, and peace, well-being and prosperity to the friendly people of Azerbaijan.

"On behalf of the people, Government of Turkmenistan and on my own, I am delighted to convey my most sincere congratulations to you and through you to the friendly people of your country on the occasion of your national holiday - the Republic Day. I express my firm belief in the dynamic development and strengthening of friendly relations between our countries for the benefit of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

I want to take this opportunity to wish you good health and well-being, and peace, progress and prosperity to the friendly people of Azerbaijan," the congratulatory letter of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Azerbaijani President reads.

King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud has also sent a congratulatory letter.

"On behalf of the people and Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia I congratulate Your Excellency on the national holiday of your country, wish you good health and happiness, and development and prosperity to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan," the congratulatory letter of the King of Saudi Arabia reads.
