Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has received the new ambassador of Germany to Azerbaijan Heidrun Tempel.
The Minister congratulated Tempel with her appointment as an ambassador to Azerbaijan and wished her every success in the future work, the ministry's press-service told Trend on Wednesday.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany. Mammadyarov expressed confidence that the new ambassador will make a significant contribution to the development of relations between the two countries.
Handing over a copy of her credentials to the minister, the ambassador said she is interested in maintaining traditional good relations and the dialogue between nations. She added that, during her diplomatic service in Azerbaijan, she will seek to expand relations between the states.
