By Saba Agayeva - Trend: Baku will consider famous Italian singer Al Bano's appeal to remove his name from the list of undesirable individuals.

Famous Italian singer Al Bano was included in the list of undesirable individuals of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry for his illegal visit to the territories occupied by Armenia.

Al Bano addressed to the Azerbaijani embassy in Italy with the request to remove his name from this list, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev told Trend on Thursday.

"The Azerbaijani side will consider his appeal," Abdullayev said.

In his letter, the singer regrets for including his name in a list of undesirable individuals. Al Bano added that he was not informed about the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
Al Bano expresses deep respect and sympathy for Azerbaijan.

In his letter, the singer also said that his visit did not pursue any political goals. Al Bano also stressed that he is a singer and it would be an honor for him to visit Azerbaijan again and perform his music to beautiful people of Azerbaijan. He expressed hope that the Azerbaijani side will give him this opportunity.

"As you know, this is a very sensitive issue for Azerbaijan," Abdullayev said. "When we published a list of undesirable individuals, we stated that if these individuals express regret in connection with their visit to the occupied territory and show respect for our country, Baku will consider the issue of removing their names from the list."

According to Abdullayev, the decision about removing Al Bano's name from the list will be posted on the foreign ministry's website.
