Friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, brotherhood between the nations of the two countries have existed in all periods of history and today they are at the highest level, Parliamentarian of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Republic (Milli Majlis) Tahir Rzayev told Trend.
Multiple measures are constantly being taken between Turkey and Azerbaijan to strengthen the bilateral ties based on historical friendship, sincere relations and high-level cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev’s working visit to Turkey will provide a further strengthen these ties, Rzayev said.
"Friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey are strongly developing and are an example for the whole world. The strategic union of the two countries, fraternal ties, strong relations, of course, provide the development and unity of our nations and states. The Shusha Declaration, important signed agreements, decisions taken and resolutions guarantee the protection of our national security and independence," Rzayev said.
The ratification of the Shusha Declaration by the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Turkey clearly demonstrates to the world the unity, solidarity and military cooperation of the two countries, and is also a call for peace and security, the parliamentarian noted.
"Turkey and Azerbaijan continue to stand for peace and security all over the world, despite the fact that for many years they have been subjected to hostile influence and suffered of aggression. The goal of our states is the security of borders, the unity of Turkic speaking countries and their development. The importance attributed to the opening of the Zangazur corridor, the effective activity of TANAP and TAP, the correct assessment of the geopolitical situation,” Rzayev added.
This is beneficial not only to the two countries, but also to all the states of the region and the peoples of the world. Azerbaijan plays an important role in ensuring the energy security of Europe and Turkey plays an important role in establishing peace around the world and in this context, our countries will develop and strengthen, Rzayev said.
The current visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Turkey serves precisely these goals, friendship and brotherhood, Rzayev noted.
The Heads of Azerbaijan and Turkey - Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who have achieved sustainable development and cooperation of their countries, demonstrate true brotherhood both at the international level and in personal relations.
