Head of the OSCE Baku office Mauricio Pavesi appreciated positively the authority-opposition meeting on 29 July in the residence of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP). Pavesi finds the results of meetings and discussions held acceptable, Trend reports.
В"The parties voiced their opinions regarding the black PR. All meeting participants responded negatively to the insulting statements disseminated in the media. I find it the best result of the dialogue”, Pavesi noted.
To his mind, insulting anybody by means of the media is unacceptable in the normalizing relations between the political forces. В"Such things are absolutely inadmissible. There was no such a thing in Europe, Pavesi noted.
He also noted, the OSCE assists in events, promoting normalizing relations between the authority and the opposition. Voicing his attitude to the Azadlig block’s non-participation in the meeting, he noted, joining the dialogue is a political decision.
В"The parties must take decisions themselves. But I hope, all oppositionist parties will take part in the next meeting”, Pavesi underlined.
