The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed on 18 November a Decree on dismissal of Gyunduz Mammadov from the post of the first deputy chairman and appointment the chairman of the State Committee on Securities (SCC) under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic. Since late December Mammadov was acting chairman of SCC, Trend reports.
Earlier this post was occupied by Heydar Babayev, the current Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan.
Gyunduz Mammadov was born in 1957. Since the establishment of the State Committee on Securities in September 1999 he worked as the head of the legal department, later he headed the National Depositary Centre, thereafter he was appointed the first deputy of the SCC chairman.
