The Foreign Minister of Switzerland, Mrs. Micheline Calmy-Rey will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan from 22 to 25 February 2006, the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry told Trend.
The invitation to visit Azerbaijan has been delivered to the head of the Swiss Foreign Ministry by the Azerbaijan deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov during his working visit to Geneva. During the forthcoming visit discussion of a number of issues of bilateral cooperation is expected. The head of the Foreign Ministry of Switzerland will be received by the Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, President Ilham Aliyev, the Milli Melis chairman Ogtay Asadov.
