Azerbaijani president's visit to Japan assumes special importance senior state official

The forthcoming official visit of the Azerbaijani President to Japan assumes great importance for development of interstate and interparliamentary relationships, Novruz Mammadov the head of the Foreign Relationships Department of the Presidents Apparat, told Trend. He was commenting on President Aliyevs visit to Tokyo due to start on 7 March.

According to Mammadov, the Azerbaijani-Japanese relationships boosts day by day. The high-level political dialogue and economic cooperation meet both sides interests. The present will pay a visit to Tokyo at the invitation of the Japanese PM to expand and deepen the bilateral relationships, as well as multilateral relationships, he stressed.

During the visit the Azerbaijani president will hold a number of bilateral meetings, including talks with the Japanese Emperor and Prime Minister, to hold exchange of opinions on issues of mutual interest.

Moreover, the Azerbaijani president intends to heads of big Japanese companies, including Itochu and Inpex, the president of the International Agency for Cooperation, heads of the Azerbaijani-Japanese league of interparliamentary friendship.

Aliyev will participate in some events, including the Azerbaijani-Japanese economic forum with the participation of heads of some official bodies and businessmen from Azerbaijan.

As a result of result of talks the sides are expected to sign bilateral documents. The Japanese Prime Minister and the Azerbaijani President will issue a joint statement and there will be signed a memorandum on cooperation between the Foreign Ministries, as well as agreement on technical economic cooperation.
