Azerbaijanis exiled in late 80s from their homes in Armenia left there realty in total amount of $20bn, Trend reports quoting Rovsha Mustafayev, director of Human Rights Institute with National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
Mustafayev said Azerbaijan ha archive materials enough to enable aforesaid refugees defend their rights in international courts. Clause 34 of International Convention for Human Rights grants them right to appeal to European Court for Human Rights and demand compensation from Armenia, he added.
120 volumes of materials proving Azerbaijanis exiled from Armenia having left their real estate there have been compiled, said Abbas Safarov, head of Refugees Society. Refugees today, he said also, total 250k.
