The Government of Moldova informed Trend that Vasiliy Tarlev, the Prime Minister of Moldova, plans to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan in mid February 2007. The program and agenda of the visit are still to be defined.
The Ambassador of Moldova to Azerbaijan, Ion Robu, informed Trend that there are many issues on the energy cooperation which must be mulled.
The diplomat said that in the perspective it is also planned to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental commission. The first meeting of the commission held in Kishinev on 19 April 2005 discussed and adopted a Program on long-term economic cooperation between the two countries and an Action Plan on its implementation.
