The Consular General of Azerbaijan to Saint-Petersburg, Gudsi Osmanov, informed Trend that on the initiative of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Saint-Petersburg, 15 lawyers working in this city carry out agitation in the big trade facilities to enlighten the Azerbaijanis and explain the laws which exist in Russia.

He said that after Russia adopted a law On migration, according to the order of the Azerbaijan President On resolving the problems of the Azerbaijani citizens involved in trade in the territory of the Russian Federation, these measures are continuing. According to Osmanov, the lawyers appointed by the Consulate General meet with the Azerbaijanis and advise them to get into registration. In addition, the employees of the Consulate General will be sent to Murmansk, Manchegorsk, Vologda, Petrozavodsk, etc. to enlighten the Azerbaijani citizens residing in the north-west region, he said.

The Consular General met with the Azerbaijan citizens residing in the wholesale trade center Sophy base, as well as with the Director of this center.

In addition, the Consular General visited Saint-Petersburg children home Fedor. The children were given New Year prizes. 4 Azerbaijani children live at this home. During the negotiations with the director of children home, it came out that the children had been left out in the streets of Saint-Petersburg. The Consulate General investigates who are the parents of these children and will work on their transfer to Azerbaijan children home.
