The title of Honorary Doctor of Azerbaijani University Odlar Yurdu was assigned to Director-General of the Turkish TRT TV channel Ibrahim Shahin.
While addressing the ceremony in Baku, Shahin said that this is a very important event and this is his first title of doctor at the international level.
"Turkish TRT TV channel has always tried to keep the Turkish audience informed on Azerbaijan," he said. "Over 13,000 programs and news pieces about Azerbaijan have ben prepared by TRT."
Shahin also said that the development of Azerbaijan and Turkey is an example to many countries. Thus, Turkey intends to enter the top ten largest economies in the world by 2023.
According to him, the economy is being strengthened in Azerbaijan in parallel with the strengthening of democracy. The upcoming presidential elections in the country will testify to this.
