The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development continues to conduct activities under the state supervision over the quality and safety of cereal products, Ministry of Economic Development said.
For this purpose, samples of wheat and flour is taken from the warehouses of major producers on a regular basis and is evaluated in the State Service's testing laboratory for safety and quality of grain and foodstuffs.
As a result of testing the samples taken in September from wheat and flour imported by major producers, it was revealed that the index of wheat quality in warehouses corresponds to the third class quality, and that wheat is not infected with diseases and pests.
Also as a result of laboratory studies it was revealed that the indicators of quality and safety of flour in the warehouses of these entities meet the requirements of normative documents.
