The Central Bank of Iran's governor Mahmoud Bahmani said that the gap between official and unofficial rates of dollar will be removed and a single-rate dollar will be supplied to the market.

"We have to supply the dollar at a fixed price," Bahmani told the IRIB on Wednesday.

We have no shortage of foreign currency, he said, adding that specified amounts of dollar are allocated to the importation of certain goods.

Iran's Central Bank fixed the dollar price at 12,260 rials as of Jan. 28.

U.S. dollar was sold at 19,700 rials in Iran's unofficial market on Tuesday.
