Azerbaijan will facilitate the process of leasing land for seasonal agricultural work by municipalities.
The matter is included in the plan of the committee in the fall session, Chairman of the parliamentary committee on regional issues Arif Rahimzadeh said during the committee meeting on Wednesday.
"The issue is raised by the municipalities themselves, which have difficulties in leasing land for less than one year. Complex procedures slow the process of making a decision on this matter," Rahimzadeh said.
The Committee will consider a draft law on amendments to the Land Code of the country at the autumn session of. The amendments proposes to lease land for a period of less than 11 months, only on the basis of decisions of municipalities, that is, without the involvement of other structures, as is done now.
"Eleven months is the maximum period for seasonal work. The process of making decision on leasing for short periods lasts longer that the lease itself," Rahimzadeh said.
In addition, he said, the municipalities offer to extend the term of consideration of appeals and complaints from the current five days to 15-30 days. \
